About the position

The Director, Event Technology is responsible for achieving revenue and profitability goals at assigned locations while ensuring the delivery of world-class service. This role involves cultivating relationships with venue personnel, managing a small team, and overseeing operations to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Director will also handle financial management, sales strategies, and technical aspects of event execution, all while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Manage daily floor operations including scheduling and equipment setups.
  • Drive results by managing an efficient and profitable operation with a focus on revenue maximization.
  • Act as a point of escalation for service events and consult with Venue Sales Leadership on strategies.
  • Utilize operational and financial reports to manage location P&L and develop action plans.
  • Create effective strategies to maximize revenue per event and prepare compelling presentations for clients.
  • Ensure all customer information is accurate in the CRM system and maintain knowledge of new product offerings.
  • Monitor small venues and check in on customers throughout the day.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of audio visual experience.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of audio visual equipment in a live show environment.
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
