About the position

The Director of Facilities and Operations at Maysville Community and Technical College is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, janitorial, and security staff across all campuses. This role involves managing operations and projects to ensure efficient work procedures, compliance with safety regulations, and effective communication with various stakeholders. The director will also be responsible for providing safety training and ensuring the safety of facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all maintenance/janitorial, security, and switchboard staff.
  • Develop and implement effective work procedures and schedules for staff.
  • Evaluate work performance of maintenance and janitorial personnel.
  • Plan and manage supply inventories in conjunction with maintenance supervisors.
  • Coordinate work orders with maintenance supervisors and switchboard for completion.
  • Provide and document required safety training for all staff.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets and act as a liaison with the System Office on safety issues.
  • Oversee major campus projects in conjunction with System Office Facilities staff.
  • Manage security operations, including MOA agreements with local law enforcement and drill effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in facilities management or related field

Nice-to-haves

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
