About the position

The Facility Director of Operations at Norton Healthcare is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring that all activities align with the organizational goals and financial management strategies. This position requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage resources to meet and exceed budget expectations while optimizing operational effectiveness across various multi-specialty disciplines. The incumbent will analyze staffing models, patient care models, and workflows to enhance the patient experience, ensuring that all processes are patient and family-focused. Key responsibilities include operationalizing programs that facilitate growth in patient volume and visits, managing financial resources to meet or exceed budget expectations, and providing operational oversight of the facility. The Director will manage productivity and staffing levels, ensuring they align with best practice benchmarks for assigned departments. Continuous performance improvement measures will be developed and assessed against established metrics to ensure high-quality service delivery. The Director will also monitor service processes to ensure patient satisfaction scores meet the goals set for the facility and its departments. They will ensure that the strategic, operational, and programmatic plans support the mission, vision, values, and service orientation of Norton Healthcare. This role involves overall administrative and clinical direction, ensuring that quality services are developed and delivered effectively. Compliance with state, federal, and DNV requirements will be actively monitored, and the Director will prepare for projects and potential outcomes in advance. Additionally, the Director will convey a clear vision of the facility's direction, challenges, and opportunities to the staff, establishing meaningful and measurable performance expectations. They will manage complex relationships with hospital-based physicians and contracts, ensuring positive working relationships throughout the campus and utilizing system resources effectively.

Requirements

  • Three years of leadership experience in operations within a healthcare setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
