About the position

The Director of Field Marketing at Molson Coors Brewing Company is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving local marketing strategies and executing the national retail marketing plan. This position is crucial for enhancing brand awareness, relevance, and sales across key markets and states. The Director will work closely with the DGY/1Yuengling Brand and Marketing teams, as well as Field Sales teams and distributors, to implement activation plans for Yuengling Brands, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement in priority markets. In this role, the Director will lead the development of the annual marketing plan and calendar for The Yuengling Company, aligning with the executive marketing team to communicate and execute brand strategies effectively. The responsibilities include creating brand and portfolio priorities for media, programs, and activations, while adhering to company and governmental regulatory policies. The Director will also be responsible for developing launch plans and brand priorities, analyzing plan effectiveness, and recommending adjustments based on ROI assessments. The position requires strong leadership, creativity, and communication skills to achieve long-term goals. The Director will oversee the Field Marketing team, manage local marketing funds, and ensure effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves managing agency relationships and developing strategies to deliver marketing priorities, making it essential for the Director to possess a comprehensive understanding of marketing program design, implementation, and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Drive local marketing strategies and execute the national retail marketing plan.
  • Lead the team responsible for activating Yuengling Brands in key markets.
  • Align with the executive marketing team to build and communicate annual marketing plans.
  • Develop brand and portfolio priorities for media, programs, and activations.
  • Ensure adherence to company and governmental regulatory policies in all marketing programs.
  • Identify and coordinate key DMA and distributor plans, including media and retail activation plans.
  • Analyze plan effectiveness and recommend adjustments based on ROI.
  • Develop specific field marketing plans utilizing the marketing mix to meet market goals.
  • Lead the Field Marketing team to maximize activation of sponsorship and alliance partnerships.
  • Manage local marketing funds and develop annual budgets in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
  • Oversee the POS fulfillment process and ensure timely order fulfillment of key materials.
  • Lead external communications for marketing and brand programs, representing marketing in key meetings.
  • Manage agency relationships and develop strategies to deliver marketing priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 10 or more years of sales and marketing experience.
  • Cross-functional marketing background in brand, retail, channel, trade marketing, and/or sponsorships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities to interact at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable presenting to various audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
