About the position

The Director of Finance/Controller (Regional Finance Director) will serve as a consultative business partner to regional leadership across two regions, focusing on driving profitable revenue growth and ensuring efficient plant and delivery operations. This role requires a visionary leader who can guide the workflow of the regional finance organization, ensuring that staffing, policy compliance, and customer service align with the strategic growth and operational efficiency objectives of the company. The Director will directly supervise and develop the assigned regional finance team, ensuring that all members meet performance standards and contribute to a function that maximizes value for both the regions and the company as a whole. In this position, the Director will be responsible for planning, directing, and organizing the accurate and timely reporting and forecasting of financial information for all market centers within the assigned regions. Compliance with Vestis's internal controls and enforcement of company policies and procedures will be a critical aspect of this role. The Director will also partner with corporate and shared service finance management to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial results, while also implementing corporate policies and procedures effectively. Additionally, the Director will evaluate functional processes and procedures to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities through continuous improvement and best practices. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health of the organization and ensuring that all financial operations align with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Act as consultative business partner to regional leadership across two regions to drive profitable revenue growth and efficient plant and delivery operations.
• Provide vision and guide workflow of the regional finance organization including staffing, policy compliance, and internal/external customer service to support strategic growth and efficient operations objectives.
• Directly supervise and develop assigned regional finance organization to ensure that all are meeting performance standards.
• Establish and maintain a function that provides the most value to the regions and company.
• Plan, direct, and organize the accurate and timely reporting and forecasting of financial information for all market centers in the assigned regions.
• Ensure compliance with Vestis's internal controls and enforcement of company policies and procedures throughout the regions.
• Partner with corporate and shared service finance management to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results and to effect corporate policy and procedure.
• Evaluate functional processes and procedures to gain efficiencies and cost saving through continuous improvement and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, and management.
• Superior leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and process management skills.
• Strong skills in managing daily operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit and collections.
• Demonstrated skills in preparing forecasts, controlling costs and maximizing profits, and producing accurate reports.
• Expert knowledge of accounting and finance standards, practices, and procedures.
• MS Office (Word, PowerPoint) required, with proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to travel within region (50-70%).
• Successful completion of Criminal Background, Motor Vehicle Record, and Drug Screen checks.
