About the position

The Director of Fleet Finance at Primoris Services Corporation is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of various Business Units (BUs) within the fleet department. This role involves developing strong relationships with BU presidents and leaders, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Director will mentor junior staff, support audit activities, and lead the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop close working relationships with BU Presidents and operating leaders.
• Oversee the monthly close process for the business units.
• Manage Fleet Department budgets and financial statements.
• Mentor junior staff and provide training on accounting rules and policies.
• Lead annual budget preparation and long-range forecasts for strategic planning.
• Review and analyze BU financial statements, correcting any discrepancies.
• Coordinate with operations to resolve billing errors and issues.
• Assess financial status of prospective vendors for operations.
• Lead acquisition efforts and support corporate accounting on ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in finance and accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master's degree and CPA preferred.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in construction accounting and progressive career growth.

Nice-to-haves

• Public accounting experience is a plus.
