About the position

The Finance Director of IDEX Health & Science Platform is responsible for the overall management, direction, and integrity of the cost and inventory functions within the accounting and finance systems. This role involves collaborating with various leaders to support strategic and operational plans, overseeing financial reporting, and leading initiatives to improve accounting processes across manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a monthly business rhythm, providing accurate financial results and forecast updates to various stakeholders.
  • Review and summarize monthly inventory and cost positions of multiple plants, ensuring timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
  • Forecast, budget, and support strategic planning for inventory, cost, and operational KPIs.
  • Manage asset preservation and working capital, specifically inventory and accounts payable.
  • Develop and implement a robust internal control framework and ensure compliance throughout the organization.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Operations to manage manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and inventory velocity.
  • Lead and participate in special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Conduct performance feedback and reviews for direct and indirect reports, and follow up on employee feedback.
  • Identify and develop candidates for promotion and perform hiring procedures as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible accounting and leadership experience.
  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and financial reporting standards.
  • Five years or more accounting experience in cost/supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced PC/ERP/Hyperion experience.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
