About the position

The position is focused on driving financial objectives through the development and execution of strategic initiatives within the insurance industry. The role involves monitoring industry trends, coordinating financial planning, and directing financial reporting and analysis to support business growth and stability. The candidate will work closely with senior leadership and various stakeholders to ensure sustainable profitable growth and to evaluate potential risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all financial activities related to a specific business unit, including identifying opportunities and financial modeling.
• Work with C Suite leaders to create proformas and ensure sustainable profitable growth through partnerships.
• Prepare monthly management view financial reports and forecasts to support organizational stability and growth.
• Monitor insurance industry trends and track competitors' strategic and financial results.
• Engage with stakeholders to evaluate potential risks and recommend actions.
• Establish reporting processes and gain buy-in from business units and leadership teams.
• Direct the development of strategic vision through financial and strategic plans, and evaluate progress towards these plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related area required.
• 7-10 years of experience in insurance accounting, auditing, or financial analysis required.
• 5-7 years of prior leadership experience required.
• Advanced professional designations such as CPA, CMA, CFA, FLMI, FSA, CLU, or an MBA preferred.
