About the position

The Director of Finance R2R (Record to Report) at L'Oréal will play a crucial role in supporting the AVP of Finance R2R in achieving strategic goals. This position is designed for a highly skilled and experienced finance professional who will oversee the Period Closing & Report Production activities. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of financial operations. The role involves close collaboration with the AVP to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the organization's objectives. In this position, the Director will drive key initiatives and ensure their successful implementation while facilitating effective communication within the R2R team. The role also includes preparing high-impact presentations and streamlining financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The Director will lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the AVP and foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the BEST team. Mentorship and guidance to R2R team members will be a significant part of the role, as well as identifying and addressing professional development opportunities for the team. Additionally, the Director will ensure collaboration with business and global teams on transformation initiatives, including change management, training, roles and responsibilities, and ways of working.

Responsibilities

  • Support the AVP in achieving strategic goals related to finance operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the AVP to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drive key initiatives and ensure their successful implementation.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the R2R team.
  • Help prepare high-impact presentations for stakeholders.
  • Streamline and optimize financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the AVP.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the BEST team.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to R2R team members.
  • Identify and address professional development opportunities for the R2R team.
  • Ensure collaboration with business and global teams on transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing/leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience with Magnitude or similar reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen with an ownership mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive team player with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with a consumer-packaged goods company.
  • Experience with Compass reporting system.
