About the position

The Finance Director will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of our organization. This role will serve as the Finance Leader for WebMD Health Services, a division of WebMD. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the $150MM+ segment, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance to support our business goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive financial expertise, and a passion for advancing the health technology sector. This role will report into the Vice President Finance of WebMD.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's business goals and growth objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate budgets and forecasts; monitor financial performance against these benchmarks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team based across the U.S. and in Vietnam, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Communicate financial performance and strategies to the executive team, board of directors, and investors.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and internal financial reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and strategic usefulness of reports.
  • Regular collaboration with the WebMD Health Services leadership team on existing and future business strategy, including the integration of acquired entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and management within a technology or healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with executive management and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial software and systems; proficiency in specific software/tools is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic and character.
  • Proactive nature.
