About the position

The Director, Financial and Operational Analytics is responsible for driving strategic initiatives and enhancing operational efficiency and financial performance within the organization. This role involves leading the development of financial models, performance metrics, and analytics frameworks to provide critical insights for decision-making at the executive level. The Director will collaborate across departments to optimize resource allocation and ensure the organization's long-term financial health.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic financial and operational insights that support both short-term goals and long-term business growth.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of dynamic financial models to project revenue, expenses, and profitability across various business units and scenarios.
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance, operational productivity, and overall business health.
  • Partner with leaders in finance, operations, sales, and other departments to identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational improvements.
  • Utilize operational data to identify process inefficiencies, recommend changes, and track the success of implemented improvements.
  • Prepare and present in-depth financial analysis and business intelligence to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with market dynamics, financial trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial analysis, operational analytics, or related roles.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial software and analytics tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Business Intelligence platforms is preferred.
  • Previous insurance industry experience preferred.
  • CFA designation is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a focus on collaboration.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry best practices.

Nice-to-haves
