Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Build strong relationships with leadership at all levels, providing valuable insights to influence decision-making.
  • Develop comprehensive financial plans aligned with MSK's long-term strategies and market dynamics.
  • Lead multiple complex projects and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to MSK's Finance and Accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and direct audits, preparing detailed budgets while ensuring compliance within set parameters.
  • Provide strategic oversight for resource allocation to balance financial stewardship and high-quality patient care.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of engagement and continuous learning.
  • Oversee all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orientation, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Serve as a resource to leadership for resolving financial challenges, facilitating required actions, and aligning operations with institutional priorities.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare financial operations.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex systems and initiatives within a healthcare setting.
  • Understanding of healthcare corporate and/or shared services operations, including budget preparation and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience implementing successful initiatives in a large, complex healthcare organization.
