About the position

The position involves overseeing behavioral health projects and programs specifically for the Foster Care program within the assigned business unit at Centene. The role focuses on developing and implementing initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes for foster children, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance member outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee foster care operations and initiatives including the development of key performance metrics, policies, procedures, and pilot programs.
• Ensure effective management of care to all foster children under contract.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as Child Welfare Agencies, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Child Placing Agencies, State Medicaid Departments, Foster Parents, Judges, and others to represent behavioral health needs and issues.
• Ensure initiatives and processes are consistent and compliant with accreditation guidelines, contractual requirements, and best practices.
• Create new service delivery models for children in foster care through partnerships with health plans and state stakeholders.
• Compile and review reports to identify utilization trends and solutions to demonstrate positive outcomes and value to the system.
• Present at National Conferences on the Managed Care model/approach for special needs populations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Public Health/Administration or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience working in or with organizations affiliated with child welfare systems or systems that address the needs of the Foster Care population.
• Current State Driver's License; Behavioral Health License preferred.
