About The Position

The Director of Foundations at Memorial Healthcare System plays a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's philanthropic efforts by engaging physicians and clinicians in the donation process. This position is responsible for frontline fundraising, including the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and prospects, ensuring alignment with the healthcare system's goals and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; MD or DO preferred.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in philanthropy or fundraising within a healthcare setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements foundation goals, plans, and standards consistent with the needs of the healthcare system and identification of potential donors.
• Directs and evaluates foundation fundraising, including Capital Campaigns, donor prospect systems, and grants proposals to achieve fundraising goals.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding.
• Develops and implements strategies for major donor and prospect moves management and solicitation.
