About the position

As the Director, Fund/Client Accounting Manager at BNY, you will play a pivotal role in leading a Fund Accounting area that encompasses multiple teams dedicated to providing comprehensive accounting services for a diverse range of clients. Your responsibilities will include determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing detailed reports. You will be accountable for the financial and human resources of your unit, ensuring that your teams operate effectively to meet established goals and objectives. This position requires you to execute business plans and contribute to the development of functional strategies that align with the overall objectives of the organization. In this leadership role, you will set guidelines for determining the net asset value (NAV) for funds across various sectors for each measurement cycle, promoting consistency across product areas. You will also oversee relationship management for a broad set of clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that the services provided are of the highest quality. Your ability to lead, innovate, and drive results will be essential in making a significant impact within the Fund Accounting team and the broader organization.

Responsibilities

  • Direct a Fund Accounting area consisting of multiple teams responsible for accounting services for assigned clients.
  • Determine net asset values, calculate fund performance, allocate expenses, and prepare reports.
  • Manage financial and human resources for the unit, ensuring effective operations to meet goals.
  • Execute business plans and contribute to the development of functional strategy.
  • Set guidelines for determining the net asset value (NAV) for funds across various sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 7-10 years of total work experience is required.
  • At least 3-5 years of management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred.
