About the position

The Director and General Manager of the Nalgene Consumer product line at Thermo Fisher Scientific will be responsible for driving the global strategy and financial targets of the product portfolio. This role involves leading a cross-functional team to expand customer reach and drive growth in existing and new market segments, while fostering a culture of leadership and collaboration within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of product management, marketing, and commercial colleagues to achieve revenue growth and profitability objectives.
  • Develop the portfolio roadmap based on customer insight and market trends, ensuring excellence in product launches and end-to-end product lifecycle management.
  • Create and implement strategic marketing plans to increase brand awareness and customer acquisition across various geographies and consumer market segments.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and drive robust regional commercial plans to capture market share in the hydration market.
  • Develop an outstanding team with clearly defined goals, providing coaching and mentorship for career development and business results.
  • Display authentic leadership behaviors and champion a culture focused on solution-finding and alignment for the consumer brand.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience leading cross-functional teams within the consumer goods or life sciences industry.
  • Prior strategy, marketing, or commercial experience required; General management experience with full P&L responsibility is a plus.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience preferred.
  • Experience with a global, matrix, multicultural team environment preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the hydration market or related consumer goods sector.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and market penetration strategies.
