About the position
The Director of Global Accounting at Insight Enterprises is responsible for overseeing the accuracy and completeness of accounting across various financial statement areas. This role involves leading the global accounting function, managing operating expenses, fixed assets, lease accounting, and global consolidation, while ensuring compliance with SOX 404 requirements. The position emphasizes building relationships with stakeholders, fostering a culture of innovation, and driving process improvements within the accounting teams across multiple countries.
Responsibilities
- Lead the global accounting function for operating expenses, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
- Ensure timely global month and quarter end closing schedules.
- Oversee the analysis of operating expense fluctuations and collaborate with internal teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including leadership and internal customers.
- Monitor the function's performance and make strategic decisions for long-term sustainability.
- Cultivate a collaborative culture and facilitate integration of global accounting teams.
- Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
- Identify process improvements and drive execution of these improvements.
- Champion transformative efforts aligned with the responsibilities of the role.
Requirements
- Expertise in US GAAP accounting and general ledger close process.
- Significant experience with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and motivate teams.
- Knowledge of financial statement processes, policies, and procedures.
- Passion for process and system improvement, with experience in ERP and financial close systems.

- Experience with SAP and BPC financial systems.
