About the position

Databricks is seeking an experienced global communications and PR leader to develop and execute a comprehensive global communications strategy. This role is pivotal in strengthening the Databricks brand and amplifying its message across diverse markets, with a focus on driving awareness through earned media coverage. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the communications program, including media relations, corporate and product PR, crisis communications, and financial communications, ultimately shaping the public narrative around the brand.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale a world-class global PR function.
• Drive a regular cadence of featured business press coverage through thought leadership, executive profiles, and customer and partner stories.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner and communications advisor to executives, resulting in high-impact content and coverage.
• Grow a reliable bench of global spokespeople to support regional needs.
• Define and execute an impactful financial communications strategy leading up to IPO and as a public company.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading and managing a high-performing global communications function.
• Strong media relations skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key influencers and advisors.
• Excellent writing skills with a passion for storytelling and content creation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with executives and stakeholders across the business.
• Proactive and highly organized, with a readiness to handle crisis communications.
