About the position

The Creative Concept Director at NIKE, Inc. is responsible for leading the Concept Design team, which plays a crucial role in defining the future of Nike through innovative design and storytelling. This position involves collaborating with various teams to develop creative strategies that resonate with athletes globally, while also managing and mentoring other creatives. The role requires a blend of creative leadership, visual art direction, and the ability to translate big ideas into compelling narratives that align with Nike's brand identity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Concept Design team in developing innovative ideas and visual identities for Nike's key initiatives.
• Collaborate with product design leaders, consumer insights, and brand business leaders to identify opportunities and craft ideas that connect with athletes.
• Manage and mentor Concept Designers and collaborate with Creative Stylists.
• Conduct brainstorming sessions, photoshoots, and inspiration travel to gather insights and develop concepts.
• Present and defend creative ideas to Nike leadership and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Design or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in design, within product or marketing, brand, or agency.
• Expertise in all aspects of visual design and experience in creative strategy and narrative.
• Experience managing other creatives as direct reports and a solid portfolio showcasing relevant work.
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, adept at presenting creative ideas.
