The Director of Global Digital Marketing will play a pivotal role in this mission by leading the Global Digital Marketing team, focusing on advertising technology and media spend with a strong emphasis on revenue impact and optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies that attract high-quality contacts and accounts, nurturing them through targeted campaigns, and ultimately converting them into loyal customers. Your work will directly impact the growth and success of SolarWinds by ensuring a seamless and effective journey from initial awareness to long-term customer engagement. You will own the top-of-funnel demand generation strategy, driving acquisition goals and connecting those efforts with initiatives that enhance customer growth down the funnel. This position requires a strong leader who can foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the digital marketing team. As the Director, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global campaigns, field marketing, product, and analytics, to align marketing strategies with business objectives. You will oversee the creation and execution of high-impact digital campaigns, including targeted advertising, paid search, paid social, and SEO. Additionally, you will utilize Account-Based Marketing tools to target high-value accounts and optimize paid marketing performance against segments and account targets. Your ability to dive deep into data with reports and dashboards will be crucial for monitoring campaign results and driving strategic decision-making to optimize performance. You will also manage the annual budgeting process and provide clear, consistent communication with stakeholders regarding strategy, tactics, goals, and performance of campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and refine the digital marketing strategy to drive awareness, consideration, and acquisition of SolarWinds customers across various segments.
  • Lead the digital marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global campaigns, field marketing, product, and analytics, to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
  • Own the top-of-funnel demand generation strategy, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality leads into the pipeline.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of high-impact digital campaigns, including targeted advertising, paid search, paid social, and SEO.
  • Utilize Account-Based Marketing tools to target high-value accounts and optimize paid marketing performance against segments and account targets.
  • Connect top-of-funnel activities with down-funnel initiatives to enhance customer growth, working closely with field marketing, sales, and campaign teams to ensure seamless lead handoff and follow-through.
  • Partner with external agencies in support of campaign asset creation and execution as needed.
  • Manage agency performance: Supervise external agency relationship for key channels; review agency reports and run internal reports to monitor performance and seek improvement opportunities.
  • Regularly dive deep into data with reports and dashboards to monitor campaign results and drive strategic decision making to optimize.
  • Execute high-impact A/B tests to help continually improve performance.
  • Provide clear, consistent, and frequent communication with stakeholders to outline strategy, tactics, goals, and performance of campaigns.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting & reporting: Manage annual budgeting process, as well as monthly/weekly/daily forecasting and reporting at channel level for traffic, revenue, spend, ROI and other performance KPIs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of overall job experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years managing a team, minimum 7 years of paid media marketing.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and optimizing digital marketing initiatives.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing best practices and strategy.
  • Experience working with analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau).
  • Experience using Salesforce & Marketo.
  • Experience working with ABM platforms such as 6sense and Intent provider Bombora.
