About the position

The Director of Global Downstream Marketing for Cardiac Diagnostics at Boston Scientific is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing and executing the downstream marketing strategy. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing marketing efforts, while fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of Global Downstream Marketing while collaborating with cross-functional partners.
  • Attract, develop, and lead direct reports, setting an inspirational mission and goals for the marketing team.
  • Coach and mentor organizational talent, creating opportunities for skill advancement and recognition.
  • Oversee global marketing execution to ensure business objectives are met and operational decisions are strategically aligned.
  • Work across regions to commercialize the next generation platform, coordinating strategies and communication with stakeholders.
  • Influence and leverage internal and external relationships to achieve business goals and communicate needs effectively.
  • Foster industry relationships with key stakeholders to further franchise/division goals and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Encourage a learning mindset among team members and drive continuous improvement in business processes.
  • Create dashboards to track marketing performance and optimize existing investments against plans.
  • Direct and control the activities and budget of functional areas or product groups.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in complex commercial marketing, program management, or team leadership in med tech, pharma, or biotech.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence across multiple levels.
  • Strong business acumen and fact-based decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, potentially including international travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Cardiac Diagnostics experience.
  • Advanced education such as a Master of Business Administration.
  • Global marketing and product launch experience.
  • Understanding of all disciplines of marketing and sales processes.
  • Medical device field sales experience.
  • Experience with pricing and contracting in the US market.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and demand generation.
