About the position

The Director, Global Forecast Lead at Avidity Biosciences is a strategic role focused on developing market insights and forecasts to support long-term planning and decision-making across various business units. This position requires collaboration with teams in Commercial, Portfolio Strategy, Business Development, and Research & Development to leverage data analytics and competitive intelligence, ultimately enhancing the company's market position and driving actionable insights for product lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage and synthesize information from multiple sources to build comprehensive market landscape assessments.
  • Utilize understanding of global markets to build long-range forecasts for different indications to support long-term planning.
  • Own the company's global revenue forecast and assumptions in partnership with the Financial Planning & Analysis team.
  • Develop and present clear reports and visualizations that communicate key insights for data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business units to refine strategic plans based on data-driven insights.
  • Work with Commercial Teams to integrate insights and forecasts into global market understanding.
  • Analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights that inform strategic decisions throughout product lifecycles.
  • Build close working relationships with leaders across various departments.
  • Maintain a sound understanding of competitor insights and associated forecasting impacts.
  • Reconcile dissenting views and negotiate to drive aligned market landscape assessments.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and technologies to enhance data analysis capabilities.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 6 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree within a relevant course of study.
  • MBA, PhD, or other advanced degree in a relevant field strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in extracting and interpreting insights from large longitudinal data sources.
  • Ability to summarize and present findings through various communication channels.
  • Experience building an insights and analytics strategy.
  • Exceptional with MS Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced modeling and BI skills using SQL, R, Python, and Tableau are desirable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity with RNA therapeutics and related market dynamics.
