About the position

The Director, Global Head of Alternative Marketing at BlackRock is a pivotal role within the Marketing team, responsible for driving the firm's marketing strategy across private markets, multi-alternatives, and hedge funds. This position focuses on enhancing BlackRock's brand identity and value proposition, overseeing digital initiatives, events, and content, while collaborating with investment business leaders to optimize fundraising efforts. The role emphasizes a culture of inclusion and collaboration, aiming to inspire a diverse team to achieve the firm's objectives in generating alpha for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a bold, inspiring and measurable brand strategy
  • Partner with the heads of investment businesses to communicate and commercialize private markets, multi-alternatives, and hedge fund capabilities
  • Work with distribution partners to enhance fundraising efforts with institutional and wealth investors
  • Lead, enable, and inspire a diverse, hard-working team
  • Serve as a key member of Alpha Marketing's leadership team

Requirements

  • 15+ years' experience in private markets ('alternatives') marketing
  • Demonstrated success at a leading, global investment manager
  • Deep knowledge of investment strategies and clients
  • Expertise in integrated marketing tactics (web, social, etc.)
  • A desire to win hearts and minds in helping clients generate alpha
