About the position

The Head of Technical Study Design at IQVIA's Innovative Operations Group is a leadership role focused on managing a global team to provide expert consulting and technical design services in Clinical Data Management. This position emphasizes operational delivery, collaboration with innovation groups, and the advancement of data collection solutions to enhance clinical trial efficiency and patient health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives and guide strategic improvements in Clinical Data Management.
• Manage a team of consultants and architects in building Electronic Data Capture (EDC) databases.
• Collaborate directly with clients to discuss technical offerings and manage relationships.
• Monitor and manage team utilization and productivity.
• Assess and document staff performance regularly.
• Define and implement departmental objectives aligned with broader organizational goals.
• Provide technical advice and solutions to enhance efficiency across functions and projects.
• Monitor quality and efficiency across projects to identify improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate sharing of learnings across projects and departments.
• Participate in defining strategies for new processes and technology at regional or global levels.
• Attend customer meetings to lead discussions on project requirements and strategic planning.
• Assess and manage project realization to ensure milestones are met with high quality.
• Plan, assign, and direct work for staff, appraising performance and guiding professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in clinical, biological, mathematical sciences, nursing, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in global drug development, clinical data management, or project management of clinical technology systems.
• Extensive experience in process improvement and technical design.
• Advanced knowledge of Data Management processes and systems, including new technologies.
• Experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems such as Medidata Rave or Oracle Inform.
• Excellent organizational skills and an innovative mindset.
