About the position

Our Animal Health Marketing team takes a customer-centric perspective using customer feedback and market intelligence data. Using this data, we design, develop, and deploy products, platforms, brands, and marketing initiatives that ensure we can improve the health and well-being of animals everywhere. The function of Global Marketing Director Poultry is part of the Global Poultry Marketing Unit and reports to the Global Poultry Lead. This unit sets the strategic direction for the Poultry Business Worldwide and must also ensure alignment with this strategy with all functions within the organization. The Global Marketing Director, Poultry will be based in Madison, New Jersey, USA. The Global Marketing Director is primarily responsible for understanding, anticipating, and exploring market trends, expressed and unexpressed customers' unmet needs, and taking full advantage of them for the respective brands and health platforms. This includes developing and deploying plans specifically for new products and services, ensuring Global Marketing readiness for new product launches, executing those plans precisely, and measuring success against those plans. The role requires providing strategic long-visionary thinking for the Poultry portfolio offerings from our Company Animal Health Division, guiding Research & Development (R&D) as an active member of the Poultry Species Team to determine which R&D projects should be developed and prioritized, ensuring alignment with customer needs, and providing input for business development projects. Additionally, the Global Marketing Director will create mid to long-term business strategies across the portfolio and be responsible for maximizing the current portfolio and services while bridging future needs with today's revenue generation. This includes leading the Product Introduction Teams (PIT) for new products covering the respective portfolio, creating, developing, and deploying international promotional and marketing campaigns and materials for the delegated brands, and communicating strategies appropriately and efficiently with the Regions and Commercial operations stakeholders. The role also involves coordinating with the Global Technical Directors on necessary Life Cycle Management studies and activities for all key Poultry Brands, managing the delegated Poultry portfolio assets, and identifying marketing training needs while developing programs to address gaps in local markets.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Veterinary Medicine, or Animal Science.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Sales, and/or Technical Services.
  • Strong Marketing and Strategic Business Thinking Capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with different sources of information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including intercultural and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to create, nurture, and drive a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's or Doctorate degree.

  • Background in Animal Health and/or poultry.
  • Experience in a global or regional role.
  • Proficiency in other languages (Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Chinese).
