About the position

The Director of Policy Research and Analytics at Bristol Myers Squibb is responsible for leading research initiatives that inform and shape the company's global policy strategy. This role involves analyzing complex policy environments, forecasting trends, and providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. The Director will draft policy positions and develop innovative proposals that enhance BMS's thought leadership in the pharmaceutical landscape, utilizing robust research and stakeholder engagement to craft recommendations that align with the company's mission and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive research plan to support the company's global policy strategy.
• Lead the development of comprehensive policy positions on key issues impacting the pharmaceutical industry.
• Draft innovative policy proposals that differentiate BMS and address unmet needs in global health.
• Contribute to the development of white papers and policy briefs to position the company as a thought leader.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of global health policies and regulatory environments to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Utilize advanced analytical methods to predict policy trends and their potential impact on the company's business.
• Support the company's advocacy efforts with evidence-based policy recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate research findings into strategic planning and advocacy efforts.
• Establish partnerships with academic institutions and external experts to enhance research capabilities.
• Continuously monitor global policy developments and emerging trends that could impact the pharmaceutical industry.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in public policy, economics, political science, public health, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in policy research, analytics, or a related field, focusing on global health or the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of delivering high-impact policy analysis that informs strategic decision-making.
• Extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, including economic modeling and data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
• Proficiency in advanced research methodologies, including statistical analysis and forecasting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex findings to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work effectively across functions and build strong relationships within a global organization.
