About the position

The Global PR Director at Tiffany & Co. is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the brand's global communications calendar and media strategy across all product categories. This position entails driving impactful collection launches, maintaining robust year-round editorial coverage, and ensuring the brand's leadership in share of voice across print, digital, and social editorial channels. The Director will manage the strategic development of all global press materials and directives, which includes the conception, ideation, and oversight of the Global PR team's briefing documents and processes. In addition to these responsibilities, the Director will act as the senior global team member for regional PR teams, reviewing regional requests related to media, events, and partnerships. This role requires aligning regional programs and PR activities with global directives, brand guidelines, and business objectives. The Director will also oversee regional programming, content development, and strategic initiatives, collaborating closely with regional PR teams. Furthermore, the role includes planning and executing global events that align with the brand's strategic goals. Key accountabilities include building and overseeing the global communications calendar, leading the development of strategic editorial plans for product launches, and managing all regional PR team requests. The Director will also oversee the development of messaging tracks and high-impact editorial angles to enhance editorial coverage, manage the creation and dissemination of PR strategies, and oversee the Global PR budgets related to product initiatives. Additionally, the Director will partner with the Global Events Director to conceive and ideate event programs that support new product launches and amplify key existing products and collections. This role also involves managing and developing a team of two global PR managers, ensuring that project briefs are well-considered and accurate, and fostering a collaborative environment within the larger PR group.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the brand's global communications calendar and media strategy for all product categories.
  • Drive high impact collection launches and maintain strong yearlong editorial coverage.
  • Ensure brand's share of voice leadership across print, digital, and social editorial channels.
  • Manage the strategic development of all global press materials and directives.
  • Review regional requests related to media, events, and partnerships, aligning them with global directives.
  • Collaborate with regional PR teams to build strategic editorial plans for product launches and PR programs/events.
  • Oversee development of messaging tracks and high-impact editorial angles to improve editorial coverage.
  • Manage the creation and dissemination of directives, PR strategies, and execution of global activations.
  • Oversee Global PR budgets relating to all product initiatives.
  • Partner with Global Events Director on event programs to support product launches and amplify key products.
  • Oversee global editorial tracking reports and recaps for department and senior leadership.
  • Manage, coach, and develop 2 direct reports (global PR managers).

Requirements

  • 10+ years' public relations/communications experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Established public relations experience, preferably in-house for globally recognized brands.
  • Proven experience managing top-tier press for leading brands.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and written skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to shift priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think creatively when solving problems and revising processes.
  • Strategic thinking skills to achieve goals.
  • Broad comprehension of the Tiffany & Co. business.
  • Ability to lead and develop staff.
