About the position

The Director of Global Real Estate at MKS Instruments will lead the development, implementation, and administration of the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) department. This role is pivotal in aligning the real estate portfolio with the company's strategic goals, overseeing all real estate functions, and managing key initiatives and programs. The position requires collaboration with various business units and leaders to support geographical expansion and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and administration of the global Corporate Real Estate department.
  • Lead the global real estate department across all functions.
  • Collaborate with key leaders to align the real estate portfolio with the company's strategy.
  • Support geographical expansion and development of the MKS strategic plan.
  • Manage monthly presentations to the CEO and CFO on global portfolio transactions and approvals.
  • Oversee execution of real estate transactions, including leasing and purchases.
  • Manage budgets and work closely with Corporate Finance on cost avoidance initiatives.
  • Develop and manage CRE programs and database systems with a focus on collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with local and regional governmental regulations regarding real estate.
  • Continuously improve standards and integrated policies across corporate real estate functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 10 to 12+ years of experience in real estate, lease administration, or facilities management.
  • Extensive knowledge of lease documents and real estate transaction principles.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel with strong presentation abilities.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence decisions of stakeholders and vendors.
  • Experience in managing and guiding teams across multiple sites.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in construction project management.
  • Knowledge of workplace and furniture systems.
  • Familiarity with real estate market conditions and property valuation.
