About the position

The Director, Global Retail Learning, Operations and Communications at Levi Strauss & Co. is responsible for reimagining the employee experience for retail teams through effective learning, development, and communication strategies. This role involves leading a team to develop comprehensive strategies that support over 10,000 global retail employees, fostering a culture of engagement, recognition, and support for employee development. The position requires regular interaction with senior leadership and focuses on enhancing training programs and communication processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of six direct reports and report to the Vice President, Retail Center of Excellence.
  • Lead strategy and content development for all retail stores, focusing on consumer experience, operations, compliance, recognition, engagement, and task management.
  • Develop comprehensive retail incentive strategies that engage retail teams and support business goals.
  • Partner with group training teams and retail leaders to identify training needs and execution plans.
  • Build a comprehensive learning & development strategy and content library for all levels of the retail organization, including onboarding and skill development.
  • Use testing, data, insights, and feedback to enhance training programs.
  • Develop and deliver training content for e-learning, instructor-led courses, virtual webinars, and train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Oversee communication and learning management systems, collaborating with COE and IT teams on enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Guide change management in communication and training processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in learning & development and communications, preferably in retail or hospitality.
  • Visionary skills to create training and communication plans for future needs.
  • Strong project management and change management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints.
