About the position

The Director of Global Security at BRP is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive range of security functions across the organization. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage security operations that include People Security, Physical Security, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, and Investigations. The director will execute security protocols and policies across various BRP locations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards while fostering a proactive security culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the centralization and integration of worldwide security operations under Global Security.
  • Conduct security risk assessments for corporate, regional, and site-specific projects and existing security programs.
  • Set Global Security strategy, objectives, and governance.
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators for security operations.
  • Lead global teams and projects, communicating effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Identify global savings opportunities and leverage synergies within existing groups.
  • Manage the budget for Global Security operations.
  • Lead the BRP Emergency Response and Incident & Crisis Management Process, providing support and training to corporate and operations teams.
  • Ensure an appropriate level of security intelligence and maintain an international network for security resources.
  • Promote continuous education on industry best practices and build relationships with government agencies.
  • Influence the organization's security culture towards a proactive approach and ensure alignment with Global Security objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Security, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • More than 15 years of experience in developing global security programs and leading a global structure.
  • Previous corporate international/national security leadership experience and extensive fieldwork experience.
  • Relevant association memberships and certifications such as ASIS International, CPP, CISM, and others.
  • Ability to work confidently and persuasively, gaining respect and trust from senior management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong decision-making qualities and integrity.
  • Proven ability to implement programs across multiple organizational levels.
  • Flexibility and agility to adapt and design solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in law enforcement, military, government security/intelligence, or corporate security.
  • Experience in the centralization of a worldwide security operation, involving change management.
  • Knowledge of security risks in Mexico.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Graduate degree or attendance in a recognized leadership program.
