About the position

The Director of Global Standards at GS1 US plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of the global supply chain by developing and implementing solutions based on GS1 Standards. This position involves engaging with various stakeholders to understand their needs, providing technical consultation, and fostering collaboration within the industry to drive the adoption of standardized identification practices. The role requires a strong focus on process improvement and project management, with a commitment to addressing complex industry challenges and improving business operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to internal and external stakeholders regarding the application and use of GS1 Standards.
• Engage with internal stakeholders, members, and industry partners to understand their needs and gather feedback.
• Develop and support the implementation of solutions that address the unique needs of industry sectors using GS1 Standards.
• Support industry collaboration to drive the adoption and use of GS1 Standards with industry partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, retail, or healthcare.
• Experience as a people manager.
• Experience implementing GS1 Standards.
• Strong process improvement and project management skills.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in food service or general retail supply chain sectors.
• Experience as a sales engineer or solution designer.
