About the position

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director of Global Strategic Marketing for Interventional Oncology, a role that is pivotal in leading the commercialization and market development efforts for the intratumoral portfolio of assets. This position is based in Boston, MA, with alternative locations in Raritan, NJ; Cincinnati, OH; and Pennsylvania. The Director will leverage their expertise in MedTech while collaborating closely with Engineering Sciences and Innovative Medicine to develop novel drug and energy therapies delivered directly to tumors. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing go-to-market strategies that integrate pharmaceutical and procedural development considerations, ensuring successful product launches and market penetration. The Director will conduct global market research to inform marketing strategies, identify unmet needs in the intratumoral drug delivery market, and manage direct reports. This role requires a deep understanding of the MedTech innovation process and familiarity with the pharmaceutical landscape. The Director will synthesize and analyze market assessments to provide recommendations to senior leadership, engage partners across a complex matrixed organization, and champion a culture of inclusion and collaboration. The position reports to the Global Head of Strategy for MedTech Surgery and will have at least one direct report.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for the commercialization of intratumoral assets.
  • Conduct global market research to inform marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with JJIM regional teams to deliver on Value Excellence/LEX deliverables.
  • Identify intratumoral drug delivery procedural unmet needs in the market through collaboration with Engineering Sciences and engagement with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Manage direct reports.
  • Provide MedTech expertise to commercial and strategic assessments of new technologies and platforms.
  • Synthesize and analyze assessments to engage and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Successfully engage partners in a complex matrixed organization across MedTech and Innovative Medicine sectors.
  • Champion a culture of inclusion and collaboration across functions, locations, and regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in marketing within the MedTech industry, with a preference for strategic marketing and familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing go-to-market strategies and portfolio strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, aligning, communicating, and driving integrated strategies.
  • Acumen in global procedure market access and market development.
  • Ability to excel in a complex and high matrix team environment.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity to deliver strong business results.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage complex planning and complete detailed, tactical actions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25% of the time.
