About the position

The Director of Global Strategic Marketing at Teleflex will lead, manage, and oversee the execution of global strategic product management and marketing tactics for all franchises within the Interventional Business Unit. This role is pivotal in developing and driving the strategic planning for the business unit, ensuring that product development, marketing, and clinical medical affairs are aligned with the overall strategy to achieve growth and profit expectations for both the Global and North American Interventional business unit. The incumbent will be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies that respond to market needs while incorporating the business unit's objectives. In this position, the Director will attract top talent and guide the professional development of team members, ensuring that product managers and marketing managers take full ownership and accountability for strategic planning and execution. The role requires collaboration with relevant stakeholders and functional leaders to align on high-level project goals that meet the overall objectives of the franchise and business unit strategy. The Director will provide strategic guidance and supervision to Marketing Managers and Product Managers, leading the business towards achieving established sales, gross margin, and contribution profit objectives. The Director will act as a passionate change agent, developing and expanding new products and solutions to support future growth. This includes driving best practices in market research to make data-driven decisions, analyzing complex technical, clinical, and regulatory data to inform business unit strategies, and leading North American marketing launch plans for new products and clinical programs. The role also involves managing the operating expenses and travel budget for the marketing team, ensuring compliance with Teleflex's Code of Ethics and all company policies, and maintaining effective relationships with agencies and vendors to ensure timely project completion within budget.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of marketing experience in the medical device industry.
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience managing commercialization initiatives in the medical device industry.
  • Strong skills in market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and inform strategic direction.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical, clinical, and regulatory data to inform business unit strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
