About the position

The Director of Global Upstream Marketing leads the upstream marketing team for Boston Scientific's Cardiac Diagnostics Solutions (CDS). This critical business leadership role is responsible for creating and defining the technology roadmap for CDS, ensuring successful commercialization of new products and strategies across global markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of Global Upstream Marketing while collaborating with cross-functional partners.
  • Attract, develop, and lead direct reports, setting an inspirational mission and goals for the marketing team.
  • Actively coach and mentor organizational talent, creating opportunities for skill advancement and recognition.
  • Oversee global marketing execution to ensure business objectives are achieved and operational decisions are made strategically.
  • Work across all regions to successfully commercialize the next generation platform, coordinating strategies and communication.
  • Influence and leverage internal and external relationships to meet business goals and negotiate necessary resources.
  • Foster industry relationships with key stakeholders to further franchise/division goals and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Ensure a learning mindset among team members and drive continuous improvement in business processes.
  • Create dashboards to track marketing performance and oversee the collection of performance data for optimization.
  • Direct and control the activities and budget of functional areas or product groups.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in complex commercial program management or team leadership in med technology, pharma, or biotech
  • Executive presence and ability to influence across multiple levels
  • Strong business acumen and fact-based decision making
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (potentially including internationally)

Nice-to-haves

  • Cardiac Diagnostics experience
  • Advanced education such as Master of Business Administration or Engineering degree
  • Global marketing and product launch experience
  • Understanding of all disciplines of marketing and new product development
  • Medical device field sales experience
  • Significant collaboration experience in a global, matrixed organization
