About the position
The Director of Graduate Medical Education (GME) Operations and Accreditation at Community Health Systems (CHS) is responsible for overseeing and enhancing GME programs across various facilities. This role involves collaboration with the Vice President of GME and hospital leadership to ensure compliance with ACGME regulations, facilitate program development, and maintain high standards in medical education. The director will also address operational challenges, support faculty recruitment, and ensure a conducive learning environment for residents and fellows.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the V.P. GME to provide leadership and organize resources to excel at the Sponsoring Institution level to comply with ACGME regulations and CHS approved GME policies.
- Serve as a liaison and facilitator with hospital medical staffs and administrations to establish an excellent learning environment for residents and fellows.
- Assist hospitals in ensuring successful onboarding for Program Directors, Associate Program Directors, and faculty related to GME.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and HR to ensure compliance with immigration and visa laws for international medical graduates.
- Oversee the management and job performance evaluation of personnel in Health Education Service's Accreditation and Operations.
- Work with Program Directors and Coordinators to evaluate and retain graduates of the residency programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required; degree in Education, Health Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in GME or GME-associated work.
- Working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Education, Health Administration, or related field.
Benefits
- Full-time position with competitive salary range of $128K - $162K.
