The College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management (HRSM) at the University of South Carolina is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Director of Graduate Marketing and Recruitment. This pivotal leadership position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies aimed at attracting, enrolling, and retaining high-quality graduate students across various HRSM programs, including Retailing, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Sport and Entertainment Management. The Director will lead marketing, recruitment, and yield strategies to enhance the pool of diverse and qualified applicants, ultimately selecting and enrolling exceptional students for master's, doctoral, and certificate programs offered through in-person, hybrid, and online formats. The primary strategic objective of this role is to contribute to the depth and diversity of the prospective applicant pool. This will involve building and delivering a robust communication strategy for prospective students, which includes managing customer relationship management (CRM) systems, overseeing search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) efforts, executing email campaigns, creating web and social media content, and conducting information sessions. The Director will also be responsible for ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for prospective students throughout the application process. In addition to these responsibilities, the Director will collaborate closely with college leadership, faculty, staff, and other university departments to support graduate enrollment initiatives and enhance the overall prospective student experience. This role requires strong leadership and team management skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks and audiences, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders. The Director will also be expected to lead the graduate marketing and recruitment team, coordinating efforts to execute a comprehensive communication schedule that follows prospects, applicants, admits, and enrolled students.
