About the position
The Director of Healthcare Audit Services at Performant Financial Corporation is responsible for developing strategies and leading a complex audit group to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality audits that align with organizational goals and client requirements. This role involves collaboration with healthcare operations, managing audit plans, and building effective teams to enhance audit services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with healthcare operations and cross-functional groups to support client contract processes.
- Develops strategies for operationalizing and executing audit plans for multiple clients.
- Applies expertise in developing policies, procedures, workflows, and reporting for audit services.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and resolves problems.
- Leads teams of managers, supervisors, specialists, and audit staff members.
- Hires and develops talent, fostering a positive team environment.
- Establishes metrics and accountability for performance monitoring.
- Conducts needs assessments, capacity planning, and cost/benefit analyses.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in healthcare services complex audits.
- Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Business, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of business experience in the healthcare industry with increasing responsibility.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare audit services or related fields.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
