About the position

The Director, HR Business Partner at Baxter Auto is a key leadership role responsible for partnering with store General Managers and other leadership to drive effective talent management, culture, and leadership practices. This position focuses on enhancing business outcomes through strategic HR initiatives, employee experience improvements, and leadership development across multiple store locations.

Responsibilities

  • Function as the key HR Leadership Partner to store General Managers and other store leadership.
  • Act as an internal people management coach for store leadership for assigned stores.
  • Work with General Managers and the talent team to develop future leadership talent for current store succession and future growth.
  • Utilize employee experience pulse surveying data to enhance the execution of the Baxter Employee Experience Model.
  • Lead the employment practices team, including policy updates and management training.
  • Handle employee relations issues effectively in partnership with other HR leaders.
  • Lead group-wide talent acquisition efforts and provide support to store-based talent acquisition roles.
  • Implement the group multi-channel leadership development model within the stores.
  • Execute diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging strategies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of modern HR models, tools, practices, and platforms.
  • Ability to lead and develop a strong HR team and be an effective member of the HR Leadership team.
  • Knowledge of EEO and ERISA laws and regulations.
  • 10+ years of business operational and/or HR leadership experience, especially with executive-level leadership.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of roles from operational to senior-level executives.
  • A positive, team-first mindset and collaborative approach.
  • Forward-thinking and focused on continuous improvement.
