The Director, HR Business Partner - Tech is a pivotal role within the Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVD&D) HR Business Partner leadership team at Ford. This position is responsible for leading the people strategy and human resources delivery for one of Ford's software business units. The Director is accountable for the performance and results of an HR Business Partner team, ensuring that the HR strategy aligns with the overall business strategy and operations. This role involves formulating partnerships across the HR function to develop and implement scalable HR programs and talent initiatives that deliver value-added services to management and employees, reflecting the business objectives of the organization. In this dynamic environment, the Director will lead the design, implementation, and execution of the HR strategy and overall HR program delivery for the respective business unit. This includes organization design, talent and workforce planning, and achieving all company and business unit HR objectives. The Director will drive the HR Business Partner team towards a culture of excellence, preparing leaders and teams to embrace organizational change while ensuring that employees feel engaged and inspired to deliver business results. The role also involves diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction, translating company-wide objectives into tailored approaches for the specific needs of the business unit. The Director will lead change management planning and activities that impact thousands of employees, implementing organizational structures that improve performance during times of rapid change. Additionally, the Director will develop organization-specific people and workforce plans to align the workforce with business needs and drive the execution of strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent. This position holds full management authority over a high-performing HR Business Partner team, with accountability for various talent management responsibilities including performance management, recruitment, and personnel actions.
