About the position

As the Director of HR Business Partner at Expedia Group, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the transformation of our talent agenda. This position is designed for a strategic leader who will focus on executing the business partner strategy while supporting leaders within the organization to ensure successful business delivery alongside the people agenda. You will work closely with your peers in the People Business Partner team and the global People Team to ensure that your client group achieves its goals. This includes collaborating with various communities of expertise to define approaches and implementation plans for high-performing talent identification, succession planning, and future-oriented organizational capabilities. You will serve as the voice of the business strategy to the Expedia Group People team and vice versa, ensuring alignment between business and people strategies. In this role, you will drive high performance and foster a supportive culture within the teams you support. You will be responsible for embedding the Expedia Group culture and Enterprise Leader behaviors across the business. Your expertise in organization effectiveness and leadership coaching will be crucial as you employ effective strategies that enable the organization to thrive during periods of change. You will provide coaching that helps leaders develop and grow, ensuring that they are equipped to meet the challenges of a dynamic business environment. As a strategic partner, you will work closely with executive leaders to define the overall talent and business strategy, anticipating long-term people needs and translating business plans into HR program objectives. Your ability to drive informed decision-making using data will be essential in identifying trends, resolving root causes of issues, and developing effective solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complexity and turn high-level business requirements into actionable initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with People Business Partner peers and global People Team to ensure client group success in achieving their goals.
  • Partner with communities of expertise to define the approach and implementation plan for high-performing talent identification and succession planning.
  • Drive high performance and supportive culture within the team.
  • Embed Expedia Group Culture and Enterprise Leader behaviors across the business.
  • Use effective strategies to enable the organization to thrive through periods of change and provide coaching to leaders.
  • Partner closely with executive leaders to define overall talent and business strategy, anticipating long-term people needs.
  • Translate business plans into HR program objectives and drive informed decision-making using data.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in strategic people business partnering, organizational design & development, and delivery of global transformation programs.
  • Strong analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and turn high-level business requirements into specific initiatives.
  • Familiarity with collaborative, lean, and fast-paced environments.
  • Highly organized with operational excellence and ability to execute plans using data.
