The Site HR Director at Thermo Fisher Scientific plays a crucial role in aligning HR strategy with business objectives, focusing on talent management, employee engagement, and operational excellence within a regulated environment. This position involves leading an HR team to attract, develop, and retain top talent while ensuring the organization is prepared for future challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop HR strategy, solutions, and strategic workforce plans that align with the business.
  • Implement HR processes such as talent reviews and performance management within a matrix organization.
  • Drive robust talent management plans, partnering with site managers to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of HR professionals, ensuring they deliver exceptional HR services.
  • Build and drive a culture of employee engagement to improve business performance and efficiency.
  • Successfully deploy new HR services and processes through effective communication, training, and change management programs.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to employees and managers on employee relations issues, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to continuously improve the colleague experience and enhance the employee value proposition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required (equivalent experience considered; Master's degree preferred).
  • At least 10+ years of HR-related experience, with a focus on increasing scope (2+ years' experience leading an HR team preferred).
  • Proficient in collaborating effectively and utilizing networks.
  • High degree of autonomy and strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret relevant data to inform business decisions.
  • Expert knowledge of HR structure and COE's.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR strategy development and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Experience influencing and aligning business decisions with senior leaders.
