About the position

The Director, HTA, Value & Evidence (HV&E) - Breast Cancer will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic goals of Pfizer's Oncology Division by ensuring optimal patient access to breast cancer medicines, particularly Atirmociclib. This position involves developing and executing a global evidence generation strategy, overseeing health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to demonstrate the value of breast cancer treatments. The role is integral to achieving business objectives on a global scale and fostering innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the evidence generation strategy for breast cancer assets, focusing on Atirmociclib.
  • Coordinate input from local country/regional teams on evidence needs to integrate into the global evidence strategy.
  • Design and execute global HEOR studies from concept through publication.
  • Develop launch deliverables including value & evidence strategy, global value dossiers, and economic models to support reimbursement and access requirements.
  • Create a patient-reported outcomes strategy and incorporate endpoints into clinical trials to build comprehensive trial-based evidence.
  • Provide strategic input into clinical trial designs to enable successful negotiations with global payers and regulatory decision makers.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders for the dissemination of HEOR materials per regulatory guidance.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and research collaborations with external experts and healthcare policy makers.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree (e.g. MSc, MPH, PhD)
  • 9+ years of experience with MSc/MPH/MBA degree; 7+ years with PharmD/PhD in HEOR or related fields
  • In-depth understanding of health services research methods and tools, including health economic modeling and real-world evidence studies
  • Knowledge of the drug development process
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respond to multiple internal and external customers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to assess project value and align with business priorities
  • Strong project management abilities, including contracting and budgeting
  • Ability to influence key members of medical, clinical, and commercial teams
  • Organized and detail-oriented with proactive problem-solving skills
  • Change-oriented and comfortable with tight timelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience in the oncology therapeutic area, specifically breast cancer
  • Experience with HTA organizations such as NICE, CADTH, PBAC, ICER
  • Experience in supporting a global oncology launch.
