About the position

As the Operations Strategic Planning Lead for Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD), you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the strategic direction of IGTD. This position involves optimizing operational decisions and contributing to the overall success of the organization. You will be expected to leverage strong cross-functional business acumen, which includes knowledge in technical, marketing, manufacturing, finance, quality, clinical, and regulatory domains. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the continuous development and improvement of IGTD strategy based on both internal and external insights and benchmarking. This includes defining strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collaborating with Business Units (BUs) on various strategic topics. In this role, you will also be responsible for driving the operations strategy based on customer requirements, ensuring that IGTD's needs are met in the facilities that manufacture IGTD products. You will develop strategies around differentiated supply chain and manufacturing solutions, incorporating advanced technologies such as cloud computing, process mining, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, you will create business cases and submit investor requests for industrial initiatives, working closely with operations finance to report and validate operations performance. You will own long-range planning and lead project and program implementation efforts that align with corporate strategy and the program management roadmap. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential for global capacity planning, business case development, and strategic discussions. Furthermore, you will evaluate the competitive and geopolitical landscape to ensure that Philips maintains a competitive advantage in the marketplace across the supply chain. This includes driving the evaluation of emerging opportunities and risks, as well as supporting the evaluation of projects and change requests. You will lead project teams through the preparation, presentation, and archival of business stage gate reviews and other deliverables to support project objectives. This role requires the ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous development and improvement of IGTD strategy based on internal and external insights/benchmarking.
  • Define strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and partner with Business Units (BUs) on strategic topics.
  • Drive Operations strategy based on customer requirements and ensure IGTD's requirements are accommodated in manufacturing facilities.
  • Develop strategies around differentiated supply chain and manufacturing solutions incorporating advanced technologies.
  • Create business cases and submit investor requests for Industrial initiatives, working with operations Finance to report and validate performance.
  • Own long-range planning and lead project and program implementation efforts aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for global capacity planning, business case development, and strategic discussions.
  • Evaluate competitive and geopolitical landscape to maintain competitive advantage across the supply chain.
  • Drive evaluation of emerging opportunities and risks, and support evaluation of projects and change requests.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a focus on strategy development, preferably at a top-tier strategy consultancy firm.
  • 7+ years leading cross-functional teams within the medical device industry (Class II or III medical device preferred).
  • Experience driving strategies around operations, differentiated supply chain, and/or manufacturing solutions.
  • Experience evaluating competitor and geopolitical landscape, evaluating emerging opportunities and risk.
  • Demonstrated impact in prior roles, especially in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Significant leadership, facilitation, and change management experience.
  • Domain experience in imaging devices, disposable intravascular catheters, or cardiac devices preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science; advanced degree preferred (MS, PhD, MBA, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a persuasive and inspirational style.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cloud computing, process mining, and AI technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the medical device industry.
