About the position

The Director of Imaging Support at Christus Health is responsible for creating business strategies and implementing methods for content within designated programs. This role focuses on driving continual process improvement in application services delivery, leveraging strong knowledge of healthcare operations, and applying effective communication and management skills to guide the design, development, and deployment of critical systems. The Director will stay updated on healthcare technology trends and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions in a cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, manages, and reports operational updates to the System Director for resource utilization and prioritization.
  • Provides oversight in the analysis and evaluation of current systems and procedures, developing system design and workflow modifications.
  • Manages a full workload across multiple projects while leading a team.
  • Engages with CHRISTUS business units to support the development and accomplishment of strategies and objectives.
  • Communicates with senior leadership to establish clear expectations regarding designated programs.
  • Establishes end-user support service levels and reports metrics regularly, driving technology improvements.
  • Recruits, onboards, trains, mentors, and develops direct reports to deliver high-quality services.
  • Supervises and motivates assigned direct reports, promoting their development through counseling and teaching.
  • Provides advice on departmental and organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, business, or related field.
  • Education and experience in ITIL support and delivery processes.
  • ITIL Certification preferred.
  • Financial skills related to budgeting, forecasting, and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of major healthcare information systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Information Technology leadership role.
  • 3+ years of experience in implementation and optimization in a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Experience with Epic and associated products strongly preferred.
  • Experience in providing and managing customer support in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work on multiple and complex projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
