About the position
One River School is seeking an experienced service industry manager with a background in visual arts to train at various locations throughout the tri-state area. This position is designed to fast track candidates into an Art Center Director role. The Leadership Program at One River School provides motivated professionals who are passionate about the arts and art education with exceptional training in sales, service, P&L ownership, and employee management. In this unique position, you will be prepared to run an Art School through instructional sessions and on-the-job training from experienced School Directors and VPs of Operations. You will work alongside a small peer group who are collectively on the path to becoming School Directors in new One River School locations on Long Island, Westchester, and Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Enroll new students
- Provide hospitality level service
- Manage all operational requirements of running a business
- Maintain CRM
- Answer customer inquiries
- Handle inbound and outbound phone calls
- Perform front desk duties
- Schedule lessons and tours
- Attend marketing events
- Coordinate gallery events
- Manage employee performance
- Oversee expense management
- Take ownership of P&L
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited, four year college or university
- 2+ years experience in a professional setting working with customers/clients
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work one weekend day
- Strong interpersonal skills
