About the position
Seeking an experienced service industry manager with a background in visual arts to train at a variety of locations throughout the tri-state area. Must be willing to drive up to 1.5 hours from home base as needed. This position would be fast tracked into an Art Center Director role. One River School's Leadership Program provides motivated, experienced professionals who are passionate about the arts / art education and want to grow into a leadership role with exceptional training around sales, service, P&L ownership and employee management. In this unique position, you will be prepared to run an Art School through instructional sessions and on-the-job training from experienced School Directors and VPs of Operations. You will work alongside a small peer group who are collectively on the path to becoming School Directors in new One River School locations on Long Island, Westchester and Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Enrolling new students
- Providing hospitality level service
- Managing all operational requirements of running a business
- CRM maintenance
- Answering customer inquiries
- Inbound and outbound phone calls
- Front desk duties
- Scheduling lessons and tours
- Attending marketing events
- Coordinating gallery events
- Employee management
- Expense management
- P&L ownership
Requirements
- Highly motivated and looking for a career in the arts
- Passionate about art & creative education
- Educated in the arts with a BFA or other art related degree
- Experienced in service-focused environments and detail-oriented
- A hard-worker and a problem-solver
- Flexible on working location and willing to drive 1.5 hours if needed
- Willing to relocate in the future
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited, four year college or university required
- 2+ years experience in a professional setting working with customers / clients
- Strong communication skills required
- Ability to work one weekend day
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to network, collaborate and build relationships with clients, partners, staff, remote colleagues and others.
- Must possess a passion for the One River School brand
