About the position

The Director Innovation Program Leader for Functional Taste at DSM is a leadership role focused on shaping and owning the innovation program pipeline with a global business impact. This position requires strong cross-functional skills and stakeholder management to maximize program traction, particularly in addressing Nutrition Plus Taste challenges and developing advanced Taste Modulation tools. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and requires a strategic approach to project management and funding allocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and design the program content with key stakeholders in a competitive environment.
• Build a robust pipeline of projects with H1/H2/H3 impact and risk-proof.
• Scout opportunities for collaboration with internal and external partners to drive business impact.
• Drive the program pipeline by making decisions to accelerate, stop, or pause projects to maximize ROI and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with the Technical Program Leader to align project execution with expectations.
• Lobby for the right level of funding and expertise to deliver results.
• Secure the landing in regions and Key Global Accounts by working with Innovation Deployment and stakeholders.
• Animate a network of expertise to connect with identified gaps and opportunities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in the flavor industry and Taste Modulation is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills across cultures and geographies.
• Technical knowledge in a scientific domain connected to food or chemistry.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
