About the position

The Director, IT Audit & Advisory at Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) plays a pivotal role in enhancing the company's ability to create, protect, and sustain value through independent, risk-based assurance and advisory services. This position focuses on supporting business strategies and objectives by providing insights into risk, process, and control perspectives, while leading IT audit and advisory projects across various business units. The role requires a strategic mindset to develop and implement comprehensive IT audit strategies that align with organizational goals, foster innovation, and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple IT audit and advisory projects with a strategic mindset, focusing on delivering valuable outcomes that drive change and improve IT processes.
  • Maintain expertise as a subject matter expert in designated IT process areas, guiding audit strategies and innovations.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of organizational objectives and align IT audit strategy with business strategy and transformation.
  • Align technology audits with enterprise risks and organizational objectives to manage and optimize IT risk across various areas.
  • Demonstrate leadership presence and influence across stakeholders to drive organizational change.
  • Structure high-level problems soundly, develop clear insights, and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Build a deep understanding of WBD and industry trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare and present insightful analyses and reports to senior leaders, emphasizing strategic foresight and value-add outcomes.
  • Review and improve the design and effectiveness of controls over application processes and IT infrastructure.
  • Engage in effective change management processes, presenting the need for change and developing strategies to implement desired changes.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in Big 4, Management Consulting, Multinational Corporate Environment, IT Audit, or related field.
  • Strong organizational planning and process management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven leadership in guiding and managing comprehensive audit plans from planning through to reporting.
  • Exceptional people management skills, including the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
  • Experience assessing IT processes and implementing internal controls and their continuous improvement.
  • Ability to compile robust reporting that delivers clear and valuable insights.
  • Experience in analyzing data, evaluating trends, and assessing risks to develop insights.
  • BA/BS/MS in Technology, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Professional audit certifications preferred (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, etc.).
  • Fluent English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with data analysis and visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau) desired.
  • Knowledge of agile audit principles and methodologies preferred.
  • Understanding of the media & entertainment industry.
