About the position

The Director, IT Service Owner (Application Integration) at Clarivate is responsible for developing strategies and technical architecture for corporate application integration. This role involves leading software engineering teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality integration services. The position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to leverage technology to drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, building, delivering, and running all application integration services.
  • Establishing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the service.
  • Defining objectives and key results (OKRs) and delivering initiatives against them.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships to manage demand and expectations for the service.
  • Managing personnel and non-personnel costs, including FTE headcount and vendor management.
  • Leading a high-performing team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Creating a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • Managing and improving service quality using data and IT Service Management processes.
  • Identifying and managing risks to the service, including security and compliance issues.
  • Establishing and enforcing application integration standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer science discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a leader of leaders.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT service delivery or software engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience leading an application integration function.
  • 3+ years of experience managing API management software (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft).
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs.
  • 10+ years of experience leading technical teams using agile methods.
  • Proficient in establishing relationships with executive stakeholders and vendors.
  • Experience with integration platform-as-a-service tools (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft).
  • Experience integrating systems in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Experience managing Solutions Architects, Software Engineers, and Project Managers.
  • Background in on-prem and cloud computing, networking, and storage.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience as a Product Manager or Engineering Manager.
  • Familiarity with key business processes (e.g., source-to-pay, lead-to-cash).
  • Experience building microservice architectures and cloud-native applications.
  • Strong understanding of integration architectures and trade-offs.
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • ITIL certification or strong understanding of IT Service Management processes.
  • Experience budgeting for complex projects and planning product portfolios.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
