Director IT Support

About the position

The Director of IT Support at the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) serves as the head of the Business Operations Center within the Information Technology Directorate. This role is responsible for providing executive-level administrative oversight, management, and planning support to the IT Group, ensuring effective resource management, performance management, and vendor management. The director will lead the development of goals and policies, manage employee performance, and oversee budget execution and compliance with IT administrative mandates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assign goals, objectives, and policies for subordinate supervisors and organizations.
• Ensure supervisory coverage at all times and balance workload among appropriate organizations.
• Manage overall IT employee performance management, including DPMAP, awards, recognition, and hiring incentives.
• Serve as the principal lead for DeCAIT administrative processes, keeping the Executive Director IT/CIO informed of program mandates and compliance.
• Lead the directorate responsible for managing budget execution and contribute to major IT submissions to the DeCA CIO and Department of Defense.

Requirements

• One year of experience overseeing sales and category management within a retail chain at a level equivalent to GS-14.
• Experience in designing, developing, and managing systems that meet business requirements.
• Ability to manage IT projects and implement solutions based on cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
• Experience in preparing and presenting briefings to senior management on complex issues.
